The short answer
"Studio" can mean a photo, dance, recording or workshop room, so decide which you need before you compare prices. For workshops, classes, small gatherings and daylight content, White Pixies Studio is a bright 500 sqft white room for up to 15: $40/hr Monday to Thursday, $50/hr Friday to Sunday, public holidays and eves. The Loft (1,700 sqft, up to 40) takes bigger shoots, podcasts and cooking classes. For a cyclorama wall, studio lighting, soundproofing or dance rehearsals, book a specialist studio.
Search for a studio to rent in Singapore and the results jump between photo studios, dance studios, recording rooms and workshop spaces. They share a word and not much else. A photo studio is built around its lights and backdrop. A dance studio is about the floor and the mirrors. A recording studio sells quiet. A workshop studio needs good tables, enough chairs and light you can work by.
So the first question is not price but type. Book the wrong one and you pay for gear you never switch on, or arrive to find the one thing you needed is missing.

White Pixies Candle Studio runs its own hands-on classes here, so the room is set up for tables and making things. The 2m table, 1.2m foldable table and 15 chairs seat your group of 10.
What is White Pixies Studio good for?
White Pixies Studio is a 500 sqft white room in Halcyon 2 on Jalan Pemimpin. It is also the home of White Pixies Candle Studio, which runs its own candle workshops in the same space. The room is already laid out for people sitting at tables and making things with their hands, so you are not turning a lounge into a classroom.
The kit list is short and it works. There is a 2m table, an extra foldable table at 1.2m by 60cm, and 15 chairs: a workshop layout for up to 15. Put the tables end to end for one long bench, or apart as two stations. The projector takes AirPlay as well as HDMI, so slides can go up wirelessly from an iPhone or Mac, or by cable from a laptop.
For content, the light is the draw. Floor-length sheer curtains run along a wall of windows and soften the daylight. That suits product flat-lays on the long table and simple talking-to-camera clips. Daylight shifts, though, and after dark you are down to the room lights or your own kit.
When is The Loft the better studio?
Once you pass 15 people, or want a backdrop with more going on, move to The Loft: 1,700 sqft over two levels near Bendemeer MRT, for up to 40. The kit list has a ring light, a phone stand and an 85 inch Smart TV. The pool table, arcade machine and karaoke set make a lively background for a podcast or video series.
It is also the room for cooking classes, with an oven, cooker, kettle, fridge and a 200cm kitchen island to demonstrate on. Drinks and alcohol are allowed. Rates run from $59/hr on a Monday to $119/hr on public holidays and eves, with a $200 refundable deposit.
When should you book a specialist studio instead?
We would rather tell you now than on the day. Neither room is a professional photo studio. There is no cyclorama wall, backdrop system or strobe lighting on the list, so for catalogue or fashion work, book a proper photo studio or bring the full kit yourself.
We also do not advertise soundproofing or acoustic treatment. A casual podcast is fine. For broadcast-quality audio or music, a recording studio is the right booking. Dance use is not listed for either room. To walk through a routine, ask the team first; for real rehearsals, book a dance studio.
What should you plan for at White Pixies?
A few house rules shape the day. Alcohol is not allowed, so a class that ends with drinks belongs at The Loft. Shoes come off at the door, which is worth a line on the invite. Order-in catering and outside food are fine, just not on the sofa area.
The toilets are in the building, not in the studio, so mention it at the start of a long class. There is cargo lift access for bringing up supplies and props. Parking is seasonal, so check before you drive in with a boot full of gear. Running a paid workshop? The Collaborate with BGL offer covers it; send us your idea on WhatsApp.
